2nd ANNUAL GARY ACQUISTIPACE MEMORIAL FUNDRAISING AUCTION

The December meeting will be focused around the holidays. We will be sharing desserts with a dessert potluck and celebrating the season of giving by participating in the auction of high-quality, donated items such as gifts, collectibles, events/sports, and social/food gift cards and items. Current list of items can be found https://mikewagner3.wixsite.com/2023auction. All members are encouraged to participate and bring guests. There will also be an attendance drawing for a numismatic book.

DONATIONS NEEDED FOR ANNUAL AUCTION

The Second Annual Gary L Acquistipace Memorial Fundraising Auction for the Cupertino Coin Club will be held at our December meeting.  Last year’s auction was successful and helped with fundraising to cover the costs of running the club meetings, including things like club dinner nights, prizes, snacks, etc.  The success of the club is dependent on all of its members being active participants.  This event will help keep the club’s finances healthy for the coming year.
Everyone is encouraged to donate an item to the club for the auction.  I’d like to issue a personal challenge to each of you to think of something to contribute to the auction.  This is a chance for you to give back to the hobby and help the club continue to grow.
To submit items, send email to Mike Wagner at mikejwagner@outlook.com with pictures, description, and estimated value.  View the current list of auction items at https://mikewagner3.wixsite.com/2023auction.
Some suggestions of donation items are listed below.  There are lots of things that are easy to donate, and please e-mail if you have a question about whether your item would make a good donation.

Packed House for our Spring 2023 Coin Collecting Merit Badge Workshop

We had a full house at the Council Service Center today with nearly 50 Scouts from three different Councils from all around the San Francisco Bay Area attending our workshop. After check-in, Emile ran his hour-long presentation. There were lots of questions & answers throughout. The Scouts were engaged before, during, and after the workshop. There were display cases to view and numismatic magazines to read. They had access to magnifiers, Red Books, Blue Books, World Books and Currency Books. Most Scouts came Prepared and were able to complete their merit badge today. The rest will meet back with their Counselor at a later date. All were invited to attend Cupertino Coin Club’s May 12 General Meeting to finish up requirement 10.b. or just check out the meeting. We hope to see many of them again on Friday! It was a successful workshop! 🙂
